October is a new Egyptian city, one of the first generation cities, located in Giza Governorate, and administratively affiliated with the New Urban Communities Authority. It was established by decision of the President of the Arab Republic of Egypt No. 504 of 1979, to reduce the population density of the city of Giza. It is located 38 km from Cairo and is characterized by its low density. Population and also the lower air temperature than Cairo due to its height above sea level. The city was given this name in honor of the Sixth of October War in 1973, just like other cities that were named in the same manner, such as (Sadat City - 10th of Ramadan City - Obour City).

It is one of the huge projects implemented by the Ministry of Planning during the era of Minister Hasballah Al-Kafrawi. It is considered one of the most successful industrial cities in Egypt. It is also considered the most urbanized of the new cities, as it includes 12 neighborhoods within the city’s cordon, and it expanded beyond that in a few years, and the urban clusters multiplied. Most of its neighborhoods are characterized by good architectural organization and paved roads, and the height of its buildings does not exceed several floors. The city includes many educational monuments. It has the two largest universities owned by the private sector in addition to other specialized universities. It also has public hospitals and major private hospitals, and it also has a huge number of higher institutes. And the middle school has more than thirty higher institutes. It also has a number of major commercial centers and a number of entertainment cities and has its own international airport. It also has the Media Production City and the main control unit for the Arab satellite Nilesat. It has many television and film production studios, in which production is produced. The residential area in 6th of October City is divided into neighborhoods, each neighborhood is divided into neighborhoods, and the residential neighborhoods are divided numerically from the first to the twelfth, in addition to several other neighborhoods, namely the distinguished neighborhood, the Al-Wurud neighborhood, the Bashayer neighborhood, the Ashgar neighborhood, the West Somid neighborhood, the southern residential neighborhoods area, and the northern tourist areas.

Sheikh Zayed City is a new Egyptian city, one of the second generation cities, located in Giza Governorate, and administratively affiliated with the New Urban Communities Authority. There is a government medical center in the city as a whole, in addition to the Sheikh Zayed Specialized Hospital.

It is close to many important service and tourism projects, such as Hyper One, Dandy Mall, and Mall of Arabia. It also provides transportation and job opportunities in the industrial zones of 6th of October City. District 3, adjacent to District 2, does not have any services, such as a commercial mall or a school complex for all levels, despite the equitable distribution of residential units.
